The Maryland Department of Commerce recently published a guest blog by AAEDC Marketing & Outreach Manager Steve Adams highlighting the growth of Wild Kid Acres and AAEDC’s My ArundelBiz Podcast episode with its owner, Gerardo Martinez:
Bilingual farm has big plans for more agricultural education
The blog discusses how Gerardo plans to continue turning the five-acre farm in Edgewater, Maryland into a community hub in 2024 – including by connecting visitors to more agritourism opportunities, more farmers, and more locally-grown food – and highlights what they talked about in the episode.

With this in mind, here’s a look back at the My ArundelBiz Podcast episode with Wild Kid Acres that the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) published last fall, just as the 2023 harvest season was coming to a close.
Co-hosts Grayson Orphe and Steve Adams sat down with Wild Kid owner Gerardo Martinez, a United States Naval Academy graduate and corporate leadership business founder, to discuss:
Tune in for an episode that’s not only inspirational but, yes, also filled with footage of plenty of cute farm animals!
