A new Filipino restaurant is opening soon at the Westfield Annapolis mall.
The business, called Lasang Pinoy, will replace Nando’s PERi-PERi.
Nando’s specialized in southern African chicken. The chain closed its Annapolis mall location in December 2022.
It didn’t take long for Lasang Pinoy to swoop in.
The Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation spotted signs announcing Lasang Pinoy on Jan. 14. Westfield Annapolis announced its new tenant on Jan. 20. Patch visited the future restaurant on Jan. 26.
Lasang Pinoy branding covers all the windows looking into the establishment, which is located across from Chipotle. We could not see if there is any construction happening inside. The eatery has not yet announced its opening date.
The Annapolis mall has undergone some turnover in the past few months.
bareMinerals and BrookieGirl Bath + Body Care both shuttered their stores around the New Year.
On the other hand, the mall is also welcoming new tenants.
Capital Teas returned to the mall in November 2022.
L’Antico Gusto Italiano will soon open an eatery in the food court. The team behind InGrano will launch a new cafe next to Build-A-Bear Workshop.
The Original Pancake House will debut across from the California Pizza Kitchen. And Miller’s Ale House will open a stand-alone bar and restaurant outside the mall this winter.
