Annapolis, MD (May 5, 2026) – As an official Preakness Festival 151 partner, the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) is leading efforts to support and amplify local businesses as Anne Arundel County hosts a Triple Crown race for the first time.
To help businesses maximize visibility and participation, AAEDC has launched a centralized “Preakness 2026 in Anne Arundel County” landing page and developed exclusive “Off To The Races in Anne Arundel County” branding, providing a cohesive platform for promotion and additional marketing exposure.
“We’re proud to play a role in supporting our business community during this historic moment for Anne Arundel County,” said AAEDC President and CEO Amy Gowan. “By creating a central hub and unified branding, we’re making it easier for local businesses to plug into the excitement and gain meaningful exposure during this statewide event.”
Throughout April, AAEDC worked with local businesses and organizations to identify and promote a wide range of Preakness-themed activations; from watch parties and networking events to creative food and beverage specials inspired by the race.
To elevate these efforts, AAEDC is actively promoting:
“We’ve seen incredible enthusiasm from our business community,” Gowan added. “This initiative is about giving them the tools, visibility, and platform to be part of something bigger—while driving real economic impact locally.”
