Annapolis, MD (March 26, 2007) - - -  A week-long series of Microsoft workshops hosted by the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation’s Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) attracted 37 small business owners who attended multiple workshops. 

 

The free workshops covered topics important to small business owners – from marketing and branding to securing data and keeping good employees.  At the conclusion of each of the 25 workshops, SBRC counselor Tom Francovitch led round table discussions and answered questions from the participants.

 

“We were pleased to be able to offer this series of workshops as part of the services provided at the Small Business Resource Center,” said Tom Francovitch. 

 

By Zuz owner Sue Ferris, who designs keepsake greeting cards containing her poetry, commented, “The webcasts were great and enhanced by having Tom Francovitch lead discussions.  I attended 12 workshops over several days and found them to be extremely informative and helpful,” she continued.  “The workshops also provided an arena for networking with other small business owners.”
