Watermark, the premier tour, charter and cruise company of Annapolis, Maryland, received a special Partnership Award from the Maryland Office of Tourism in front of more than 300 Maryland Tourism colleagues at the recent Maryland Governor's Tourism Conference held in Rocky Gap, Maryland.
The award was presented to Debbie Gosselin, President of Watermark, and Paula Fishback, Founder of Three Centuries Tours, for their decades of support. Watermark, formerly known as Watermark Cruises, and Three Centuries Tours merged companies in 2004 after working together closely for more than thirty years.
Dennis Castleman, Director for Maryland Office of Tourism and presenter of the award, said, "one of the most effective ways of promoting a destination is to show your potential buyers what you have to offer. Watermark has hosted literally hundreds of Office of Tourism familiarization tours with the use of their tour guides and sightseeing boats for both domestic and international visitors."
"Hosting travel writers, tour operators, hoteliers, and political guests provides its own rewards", explained Debbie Gosselin, President of Watermark. "We see these efforts as investments not only in our own business but also in the community of which we are so proud."
This is the second award given to Watermark in the last month receiving the "Best New Heritage Initiative" for their African-American Heritage Tour in partnership with the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation from the Four Rivers Heritage Area.
