Owings Mills, MD (January 31, 2005) - Italia's Corner Café, a fast-casual Italian restaurant and The Bank of Glen Burnie, a community bank with eight locations in Anne Arundel County, both opened for business this week at Burwood Village Center. The 116,000 square foot retail center, owned and managed by Greenberg Commercial Corporation, is located at the intersection of Baltimore & Annapolis Blvd. and Furnace Branch Road, near Baltimore Beltway Exit 5 in Anne Arundel County.

Italia's Corner Café offers a large variety of Italian-style dishes and cuisine, "with no entrees priced above $14.00," according to Ted Shaw, one of the owners of the restaurant. It features a "California-style" kitchen so patrons can watch their meals being prepared and a "self-ordering" system that matches its fast-casual setting. The restaurant features a private party room that can accommodate approximately twenty-five people. Beer and wine are also available.

"Our restaurant is unique in the Glen Burnie/Linthicum/Ferndale area, and we are extremely confident that area customers will embrace our atmosphere, affordable pricing and great food," explained Ted Shaw, who scoured the northern Anne Arundel County region for the ideal setting for the 112-seat restaurant. "Our food is comparable to Little Italy, and Burwood Village Center offers the perfect combination of location and demographics that will allow us to flourish," he added.

The Bank of Glen Burnie opened its eighth location this week at Burwood Village Center. "This shopping center is an exact match for the profile we look for in our expansion activities," stated Michael Livingston, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Bank of Glen Burnie. "It has excellent roadside visibility, a strong grocery store anchor tenant and complementary merchants that fill an important shopping need in the local area," he added.

"Centers such as Burwood Village Center, which features more than 80,000 consumers living in the primary trade area and an average household income of nearly $60,000, thrive with a combination of national, regional and locally-owned retailers," stated David L. Goldbloom, Vice President of Greenberg Commercial who is overseeing the leasing activities at the center. "Italia's Corner Café and The Bank of Glen Burnie are excellent examples of merchants that can further establish the project's community identity. We have a few spaces remaining at the center and have received strong interest and activity for these availabilities. Another fast-casual restaurant tops our list of priorities that we are seeking," he added.

Greenberg Commercial, founded in 1968, focuses on the leasing, development, acquisition and management of commercial real estate properties and retail shopping centers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
