Final Nine Holes Complete 36-hole Facility 30 Minutes from Washington, DC
(VIENNA, Virginia) - Anne Arundel County and Billy Casper Golf (BCG) today announce the East Course at Compass Pointe in Pasadena, MD will open for play on Friday, July 1.
The East Course is the final nine holes at Compass Pointe, completing the 36-hole facility that opened in 2003 with the North and West nines. The South Course third of the four nines completed at Compass Pointe opened last year to rave reviews from the public and golf media.
The par-36 East features a links-style design complete with elevation changes, undulating greens, grass bunkering and collection areas, and a routing of nine different holes. Measuring 3,470 yards from the back tees and 2,334 from the front, five sets of tees ensure the East is playable and challenging for golfers of all skill levels.
The East Course will be paired with the North, creating a 7,157 track with a rolling terrain and an open feel. Gracefully routed through 800 acres of Maryland countryside, Compass Pointe offers golfers a variety of golf flavors, including the linksy North/East combination and the tree lined, parkland-style South/West pairing.
The East nine is a fun and fantastic test of golf that requires players to use every club in their bag, said Tony Cianci, BCGs Mid-Atlantic Regional Vice-President of Operations. The two distinct styles of courses at Compass Pointe promise a different experience each and every time golfers come out to play.

The courses feature bent grass from tee to green, an ample practice putting surface and a driving range with both grass and mat stations. Compass Pointe also houses a full-service Golf Shop, grille and two new pavilions with seating available for any size event or corporate outing.
