ANNAPOLIS, MD (December 23, 2008)) - - - Westfield Annapolis will be the site for the Winter Farmers' Market, scheduled to open January 11, 2009.  The market will be open on the 2nd and 4th Sundays through April 26 with operating hours from 12:30-2:30 PM and will be located on the first level of the Nordstrom Parking Garage off the Bestgate Road Main Entrance.

 

Farmers' markets respond to a consumer demand for fresh, nutritious products. Products available at this market include beef, pork, eggs, chicken, winter produce and greens, baked goods, coffee, tea, honey, oranges, grapefruits, cheese, jewelry and alpaca products. Beginning in February, herbal products will also be offered.

 

County Executive John R. Leopold stated, "I thank Westfield Annapolis for their help with the Winter Farmers' Market.  This market offers our citizens fresh winter produce as well as other locally produced items from the state of the Maryland while supporting our local farmers and merchants."
