WESTFIELD ANNAPOLIS WINTER FARMERS’ MARKET TO OPEN
ANNAPOLIS, MD (December 27, 2010) - - - Increasing popularity of farmers’ markets and consumer demand to purchase fresh, nutritious products for their families has led to a Winter Farmers’ Market at Westfield Annapolis. The market will be open January 2 through April 17, 2011 from 11:00am – 2:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. The market is located on the first level of the Nordstrom Parking Garage off the Bestgate Road Main Entrance.
Products available at this market include beef, pork, eggs, chicken, winter produce and greens, baked goods, dairy products, coffee, tea, honey, jewelry, jams and herbal products.
County Executive John R. Leopold stated, “Anne Arundel County is pleased to partner with Westfield Annapolis again this winter to offer our citizens fresh winter produce, as well as other locally produced products from the state of the Maryland.” ”Farmers’ markets provide a great way to support local farmers and merchants.”
