ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 1, 2008) - - -  Westfield Annapolis is the newest of six locations planned for the Anne Arundel County farmers’ markets during the 2008 growing season.  The Westfield Annapolis market, to be located in the parking lot beside Sears Automotive, will be open on Sundays from 12-3 pm beginning July 6,  with a grand opening celebration scheduled for July 13, 2008.

 

“Westfield Annapolis is an ideal place for Anne Arundel County citizens to access locally grown produce,” said Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold.  “I thank Westfield for their continued commitment to the Anne Arundel County community.”

 

The Westfield Annapolis market will feature local products from within the state of Maryland, offering an expanded variety of local produce, herbs, and specialty items such as cheese, chicken, seafood and ice-cream.  This market will also feature cooking demonstrations by local chefs.
