WESTFIELD ANNAPOLIS EXPANSION UPDATES
21 STORES ANNOUNCED; 10 NEW TO ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
Highlights include Pottery Barn, Under Armour and McCormick & Schmicks
Opening early November 2007
Annapolis, MD: Today Westfield Annapolis invited community leaders and the media for a hard hat tour of the $100+ million expansion, which will officially open in early November 2007. The presentation included an announcement of twenty one nationally-known retailers joining the center, ten of which are especially noteworthy to area shoppers as they are debuting for the first time in Anne Arundel County.
The new-to-market stores include:
Pottery Barn The nation's leading casual home furnishings brand offering stylish, affordable furniture and accessories. This min-anchor will be approximately 20,000 square feet.
McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant The well known restaurant serves a broad selection of fresh seafood with a menu printed twice daily and featuring the signature Fresh List of more than 30 varieties of fresh seafood, in addition to aged steaks, poultry, entrée salads and pasta.
Under Armour Founded in 1996 by a student at the University of Maryland, the originator of performance apparel gear engineered to keep athletes cool, dry and light throughout the course of a game, practice or workout will open its first full-line retail store at Westfield Annapolis.
ESPRIT Now back to the American fashion scene, ESPRIT offers fashion forward, high-quality yet affordable styles ensuring up-to-date and fresh looks for both men and women.
Metropark A rapidly expanding, highly differentiated mens and womens apparel and accessories retailer that combines the converging core lifestyle elements of fashion, music and art to appeal to young tastemaker adults.
Levis® The full line store will offer the best and largest selection of Levis® Jeans, making Annapolis one of the ultimate shopping destinations for jeanswear.
Lucky Brand Jeans Rooted in rock 'n' roll and vintage-inspired, Lucky produces denim, sportswear, knits, wovens, outerwear, t-shirts, and active wear.

Quiksilver A trailblazing guide to boardriding culture and committed to providing tools for uncovering, expressing and expanding your personal style. The stores mission is to foster the sense of individual expression and excitement the stoke that is the essence of boardriding.

Solstice Specializes in upscale, high-end designer fashion sunglass brands, yet also offers more moderately priced bridge collections and active sport sunwear lines. Other retailers announced for the expansion are relocating from the existing center into bigger spaces that will feature their newest store designs and concepts. These shops include Banana Republic, American Eagle, Godiva, Franklin Covey, Icing, Sterling Optical, and Annapolis Tailor.
Fearns continued, It is our philosophy and our practice to continually invest and reinvest in our properties, and Westfield Annapolis is a model of that commitment by taking an already strong, productive center and adding key new elements and energy to enhance its appeal and position as a premiere shopping and entertainment destination for the region.
Westfield Annapolis expects more exciting store announcements in the coming weeks and months. The full project includes an additional 240,000 square feet for approximately 60 new specialty shops and two new mini-anchors, new signature restaurants with al-fresco style seating and upgrades to the Food Court, Center Court and childrens Playtown area. The revitalization also features dramatic new entrances and majestic atriums, an exciting lifestyle, street-scene environment amidst promenades, lounges, trees and greenery and over 1,000 new parking spaces with valet parking service. Upon completion, at 1.5 million square feet, Westfield Annapolis will have the distinction of being Anne Arundel Countys largest shopping destination, employ over 3,500 people and is expected to generate over $500 million in annual sales.
With this significant expansion, Westfield Annapolis has responded to the regions growing consumer demand for additional quality retail and dining choices, said Robert Hannon, President and CEO of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation. The expansion underscores Westfields continued commitment to Anne Arundel Countys business economy and to the community.
Westfield Annapolis opened in 1980 and was acquired by Westfield in 1994 from CenterMark Properties. The center currently features a mix of more than 175 specialty stores, five major department stores including Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Macys, JC Penney and Sears as well as the Galley Food Court and an eleven screen, stadium-seating Bow Tie Cinemas. Westfields core brand values embrace quality retail, with a commitment to the community and strong focus on customer service.
