SIX COMPANIES PRESENT AT CIC TECHBRIDGE SHOWCASE
ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 20, 2010) - - - Six companies from Virginia, Maryland, Texas, and California participated in the Chesapeake Innovation Centers’ (CIC) TechBridge Showcase on May 19, 2010. The tech companies presented their technologies to CIC Partner representatives from BAE Systems, ARINC, Northrop Grumman, NSA, and Apptis who are seeking new, innovative solutions to their homeland, national, and cyber security needs.
“We are excited about attracting great technology companies with innovative solutions for our government stakeholders,” said CIC Executive Director Sarah Djamshidi.
Products presented include a software delivering desktop security against web-borne malware, a security testing software that identifies flaws before networked and mobile products or services are deployed, secure long term archival options that alleviate technology refresh and data migration needs, a company that resells and integrates remote power solutions for corporate and government customers; and a real-time network
forensics and automated threat analysis solution.
“The CIC provides a valuable service to Anne Arundel County as a business accelerator for companies on the cutting edge of National, Cyber, and Homeland Security technology,” said Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold.
The next TechBridge Showcases will take place on July 21 and August 11, 2010. To participate, contact Sarah Djamshidi at sdjamshidi@cic-tech.org.
About the TechBridge Showcases
One of the missions of the Chesapeake Innovation Center (CIC) is to identify innovative technology companies that system integrators and/or government agencies (CIC Partners) may be able to include in their large homeland, national and cyber security as well as the defense programs. To that end, the CIC hosts bi-monthly, exclusive meetings called TechBridge Showcases to highlight technologies that are of interest to CIC Partners.
The CIC scouts the market, down-selects (based on our Partner feedbacks), coaches and mentors these small businesses and presents them to CIC partners in a standard format.
Since 2003, the CIC has screened an average of 150 companies per year and presented more than 166 companies to date.
