Tour Highlights Commercial Expansion And Relocation Opportunities
 
ANNAPOLIS, MD (April 27, 2011)  - - -  Relocation experts, commercial real estate professionals, and business executives are invited to tour commercial expansion and relocation opportunities during the Annual VIP Real Estate Tour of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.  Seats are still available for the day-long tour scheduled for Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.  Tickets for the tour are $150.00 per person and can be purchased by calling Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) at 410-222-7410.
 
The tour, organized by AAEDC, highlights existing and new development in Anne Arundel County’s growth areas – North County, West County, and Annapolis. Guest narrators on two buses will provide information on economic trends, transportation infrastructure, and targeted growth areas.  This year, the tour will also highlight the county’s zoned, Mixed-Use Developments, visiting ten projects with nearly 4 million square feet of space planned or under construction.
 
“The strategically planned VIP Real Estate Tour provides an excellent opportunity for witnessing our current and potential business growth,” said County Executive John R. Leopold.  “Business investment in Anne Arundel County has contributed to a strong economic base, even during these economically challenging times.” 
 
As an added value, a real estate continuing education class (F-1.5 hours) entitled “Theory, Practice, & Application of Mixed Use Zoning” will be offered to real estate professionals and attendees prior to the tour for an additional $15.00 per person.  Tour agenda is as follows:
 
7:30 – 9:30 AM
Breakfast at Candlewood Commerce Center in Hanover.  AAEDC President and CEO Robert Hannon will welcome tour participants and provide a brief overview of the Anne Arundel County economy.  A representative from the Candlewood Commerce Center will offer information about the property highlighting its quality industrial condominiums adjacent to BWI Marshall Airport
 
8:00 – 9:30 AM 
Real estate continuing education class at Candlewood Commerce Center (same location as the breakfast); hear Carole Sanner, Deputy Director of the Anne Arundel County Department of Planning and Zoning, Brian Gibbons, Chairman and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corporation, Neil Greenberg, COO of Somerset Construction Company, and George Carras, Principal of StonebridgeCarras, LLC describe how they transformed the County’s new Mixed-Use Zones into vibrant real estate developments; class requires a registration separate from the VIP Tour

VIP Real Estate Tour begins; guest narrators include representatives from St. John Properties, Corporate Office Properties Trust, Elm Street, Greenberg Gibbons, and the Annapolis Economic Development Corporation

Tour ends, busses return to Candlewood Commerce Center
