RUSSIAN OFFICIALS TO VISIT ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FARMERS’ MARKET
WHAT: A delegation of thirteen Russian officials, sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development, will visit the Anne Arundel County Farmers’ Market at Riva Road on Saturday. The delegation is on a fact- finding tour of the US Cooperative Farm Credit System. County Executive John R. Leopold will welcome the delegation and speak with the officials about the economic importance of agriculture in Anne Arundel County.
During their United States visit, the delegation will receive briefings from the Farm Credit Administration, National Corn Growers Association, USDA Marketing Services Branch, and the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
