ANNAPOLIS, MD (September 26, 2008) - - -The Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) and Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) will host a Fall Job Fair on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the AACC Arnold Campus in the David S. Jenkins Gymnasium, 101 College Parkway.  This annual event is expected to draw over 90 employers and over 1,500 job seekers.  Employers will have the opportunity to meet and interview job seekers in the community as well as AACC students, alumni, and other professionals.

"The Fall Job Fair presents a tremendous opportunity for our citizens and our businesses," said County Executive John R. Leopold.  "I encourage anyone looking for employment to take advantage of this important event."

Private employers and government agencies will have exhibits with representatives on hand to talk about available positions, accept resumes, and conduct interviews.  Companies who are looking for employees are encouraged to participate in this job fair.  To register, call Anne Arundel Community College at 410-777-1239 or 410-777-2201 or via email at ctrc@aacc.edu.

Job seekers will be admitted free of charge and can expect to find employers with immediate hiring needs.  Attendees should bring a resume and come prepared to speak directly with employers.   "Resume Doctors" will be available to provide resume advice.  To prepare for the job fair, job seekers can also attend a workshop on "How to Work a Job Fair/Networking" which will be presented at 11 a.m., just prior to the start of the job fair, at the Arnold campus in the Student Services Center, Room 224.
