NEW McCormick & Schmick’s Opens November 5th at Westfield Annapolis Mall
“Fish Toss” and “Net Cutting” Ceremony Set to Take Place at 3 p.m. at the Restaurant

Annapolis, MD –   A respected name in seafood restaurants is casting a line in Annapolis. Annapolitans will have their first taste of more than 30 different varieties of fresh seafood when McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant opens its doors at Westfield Annapolis Mall on Monday, November 5th at 3 p.m. It will be the fourth in the McCormick & Schmick's brand in Maryland. (M&S Grill and McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and Bethesda McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant.)

 

There will be a special “fish toss” and “net cutting” ceremony at 3 p.m. on Monday where the new M&S General Manager Michael Collins and Executive Chef Anthony Peake will be joined by Mall Executives and local VIPs to “officially” bring in the first seafood shipment into the restaurant.  They will “toss” a whole fish down a line of VIPs and finally to the chef who will then hold the fish above his head for all to see.  Next, county and city officials will assist with the net cutting to allow the chef into the restaurant with the whole fish.

 

The 8,840 square-foot Annapolis McCormick & Schmick's is located at Westfield Annapolis Mall next to the Macy’s Department Store.  It will have seating for more than 240, including approximately 50 for private dining, 50 in the bar and 30 on the outside patio.  Menu highlights include Chesapeake Bay Striped Bass baked in parchment with a Pumpkin Seed Oktoberfest Vinaigrette, Atlantic Salmon stuffed with Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabmeat, and Gulf Shrimp and Brie.  The restaurant’s commitment to freshness continues in its full-service bar where all juices are fresh squeezed and cocktails are hand shaken in the tradition of classic mixology.
