Greenberg Gibbons Breaks Ground for $275 Million
 Village South at Waugh Chapel
Mixed-Use Development to Bring Wegmans & Target to West Anne Arundel County

Owings Mills, Md. (September 1, 2010) — Greenberg Gibbons announced today that it has broken ground for the Village South at Waugh Chapel, a 1.2 million square-foot, $275 million, mixed-use development in West Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

The new lifestyle center will include 650,000 square feet of retail, which is already 75% pre-leased by tenants such as Wegmans, Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods and PETCO.  The development will also feature 125,000 square feet of Class A office space and 380 residential units built by The Bozzuto Group.

“It’s exciting to see this project become a reality, thanks to the financial support of our partners and Anne Arundel County,” said Brian Gibbons, president and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons.  “By bringing premier retailers to the area and creating more than 5,000 jobs, Village South will be a true community asset.”

The project is located off of MD Route 3/301, with a traffic count of 70,000 cars daily.  It will sit adjacent to the already successful Village at Waugh Chapel. The Village South is set to open in Spring 2012.
