ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FARMETS’ MARKETS HOLIDAY EVENTS
 
ANNAPOLIS, MD (November 14, 2007) - - - Everyone is encouraged to attend the Holiday Events and Special Farmers’ Markets during the upcoming Holiday Season.    The following Anne Arundel County Farmers’ Markets will participate:
 
Anne Arundel County Farmers Market
(Located at the corner of Riva Road & Harry Truman Parkway)
Christmas Market, every Saturday, November 17 - December 22nd, 8:00 am -12:00 Noon.
The Christmas market will feature seasonal items including baked goods, handmade candies, herbal products, micro-greens, sprouts, eggs, honey, jams, jellies, soaps, jewelry, greens, wreaths, glazed glassware, blankets, afghans, Christmas decorations and gifts.  Fresh garlands are being made to order on site.
 
Holiday Festival – Saturday, December 8th -  Santa will hand out goody bags and the Friday              Four Bell Choir will perform.  Free Hot Cocoa for all.

The Centre at Glen Burnie Farmers’ Market
(Located  in the parking lot adjacent to Chick-fil-A’)
Thanksgiving Market, Wednesday, November 21st 10am – 1pm 
This market will feature one baker and one produce farmer. Products available include assorted baked goods, pies, breads, and seasonal produce including apples, winter squashes, pumpkins, onions, kale & collard greens, turnips, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages, gourds, and honey.

Piney Orchard Farmers’ Market 
(Located in the Piney Orchard Community & Visitors Center Parking Lot off Stream Valley Drive)
Thanksgiving Market, Wednesday, November 21st, 12 Noon – 4:00pm
At 2:00 pm, a gift basket containing a ham and variety of farmers’ market products will be raffled off.  Seasonal produce available will include, greens, winter squashes, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkins, turnips, persimmons, and fresh cut herbs.  Specialty items include jams, jellies, herbal products, lotions, jewelry, soap, coffee, Christmas Gifts, and baked goods.
