ANNE ARUNDEL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES STAFF APPOINTMENT
ANNAPOLIS, MD (December 19, 2007) - - - Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) has announced the appointment of Lisa L. Webb as Business Development Director.
Ms. Webb will work with the AAEDC business development team to attract new business to Anne Arundel County while helping existing County companies stay successful and grow. Team responsibilities include providing location, expansion, or relocation services and acting as liaisons for companies as they navigate the County permitting and planning and zoning process. She will focus on outreach to BRAC related defense contractors as well as the development process for Odenton Town Center.
Lisa Webb brings a solid economic development background to AAEDC, said Robert L. Hannon, President and CEO of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation. Her skills will be an asset as we continue to provide services that meet the needs of our businesses.
Previously, Ms. Webb served as Project and Policy Development Manager for Harford County Office of Economic Development. In this capacity, she took the lead on issues related to transportation, land use, water and sewer and development projects and managed issues pertaining to infrastructure improvements, BRAC impact, and the EUL projects at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Ms. Webb earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and an Economic Development Certification (CEcD) from the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute. She is a member of several economic development organizations including the International Economic Development Council and the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) and serves as president of the board of directors for the Harford Habitat for Humanity.
