The AAEDC mission is to serve business needs and to increase Anne Arundel County's economic base through job growth and investment.

 

To accomplish its mission, AAEDC will:
    • Recruit new businesses to locate in Anne Arundel County
    • Assist existing businesses to retain and grow our incumbent companies
    • Anticipate and address workforce development needs of our business community 
    • Promote Anne Arundel County as a premier location for business 
    • Provide business advocacy for Anne Arundel County businesses during regulatory and 
      approval process
    • Provide financing assistance to Anne Arundel County businesses 
    • Incentivize redevelopment through the Business Corridor Investment Loan Program
    • Promote technology development and attract new technology companies through 
      Anne Arundel County's technology incubator, the Chesapeake Innovation Center
