The AAEDC mission is to serve business needs and to increase Anne Arundel County's economic base through job growth and investment.
To accomplish its mission, AAEDC will:
- Recruit new businesses to locate in Anne Arundel County
- Assist existing businesses to retain and grow our incumbent companies
- Anticipate and address workforce development needs of our business community
- Promote Anne Arundel County as a premier location for business
- Provide business advocacy for Anne Arundel County businesses during regulatory and approval process
- Provide financing assistance to Anne Arundel County businesses
- Incentivize redevelopment and revitalization along older commercial corridors
- Promote technology development and attract new technology companies through Anne Arundel County's technology incubator, the Chesapeake Innovation Center
- Promote agriculture development and expand markets for agri-business
