Anne Arundel County is ranked 3rd in Maryland for woman-owned businesses with paid employees. Woman-owned businesses in Anne Arundel County generated nearly $1.5 billion in sales and receipts for 2002 representing 31.3% of all business, according to the Survey of Business Owners released by the U.S. Census Bureau.
