Anne Arundel County’s Research & GIS Division generates a wealth of valuable geographic data.

For additional mapping resources, the Planning & Zoning GIS Section maintains a web page with useful links and access to maps from external organizations and the Department of Public Works provides the ability to query and map its engineering records.

AAEDC currently leverages all of these resources for its mapping needs.  To facilitate access, AAEDC recently acquired its own Geographic Information Systems (GIS).  Please see the bulleted items below for a list of present and future economic development GIS uses.  As AAEDC’s GIS program grows, we will be adding additional capabilities.
